Lisa Johnson

Miss Lisa Johnson began dancing at the age of two at Monica's Dance Studio in Fairmont, WV. She continued studying dance for 17 years; becoming part of "The "Highgate Youth Ballet" program under direction of Mrs. Shawna Gerau Santee, portraying the role of "Tinkerbell" in "The Adventures of Peter Pan''. She also attended 5th Street Center For Dance at its inception where she was also a student assistant for many years. She graduated from Fairmont State University with a degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. The following year, Miss Lisa was diagnosed with Rectal Cancer at age 26 and has since become an advocate for Early-Onset Colorectal Cancer and Ostomy Awareness. When she is not at the studio, she is deeply involved within the Colorectal Cancer Community; most recently becoming the Executive Vice President of "The Colon Club", a non-profit organization whose mission is to raise awareness, educate, and help those with colorectal cancer, particularly those diagnosed under the age of 45. Rediscovering her passion for dance, she returned to 5th Street in 2018 as an Instructor Assistant and transitioned into becoming an Instructor the following year. She resides in Rivesville, WV with her family and fur-babies.
